John E. Klimpel

JOHN KLIMPEL has 40 active years of experience in the hospitality and food service industry. Mr. Klimpel began his career at an entry level and advanced to Vice President / General Manager of the Viking Lodge and Restaurant from July 1972 to September 1985. From September 1985 to March, 1986, Mr. Klimpel was Assistant General Manager / Food & Beverage Director of Noah’s Ark Restaurant and Motor Inn in St. Charles, Missouri. From April 1986 to April 1987, Mr. Klimpel was General Manager of the University Club in Lincoln, Nebraska. Mr. Klimpel was Director of Operations of Pizza by Piece of the Pie in Lincoln, Nebraska from April 1987 to January 1988 when he became District Manager of American Food Management (a Division of ServiceMaster Incorporated) in San Francisco, California until September 1988. Subsequently he became Vice President of Catering Management, Incorporated in Lincoln, Nebraska from September 1988 to March 1993 and thereafter he became the General Manger of the Ramada Plaza Hotel in Lincoln, Nebraska until August 1998.

Since 1998 Mr. Klimpel has been an active developer and general contractor servicing the hotel industry, developing and constructing more than 10 hotels for his own portfolio and for third-party owners, in Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Kentucky, and Nebraska. Mr. Klimpel holds an Associate Degree of Applied Arts in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Forest Park Community College in St. Louis, Missouri.

Mr. Klimpel’s expertise and focus with LHG is contracting, design and vendor negotiations and also serves as Director of Operations for the Company. He has managed more than 15 full and limited service hotels during his career. Mr. Klimpel uses his vast food and beverage experience to oversee LHG’s various Food and Beverage Outlets.

Tami A. Klimpel

TAMI KLIMPEL has more than 20 years experience in the hotel industry. She began her career with the Cornhusker Hotel in Lincoln Nebraska where she served as a front desk associate. She quickly advanced to shift manager. Tami then served as General Manager for two hotels that she owned in Lincoln Nebraska, a Days Inn and a Ramada Inn. In that capacity, she gained a keen sense of the importance of the hotels employees in delivering a satisfactory experience to each of the hotel’s guests. Subsequently, Tami became the human resource consultant and training advocate for several hotels owned and managed by John and Tami. Tami currently serves as LHG’s Director of Human Resources. Her focus is in sourcing qualified employees and providing for their training and development, employee benefits management and quality control of hotel properties under LHG management.

Richard Gosnell

RICHARD GOSNELL, a retired certified public accountant, has 40 years experience in the financial and accounting profession. His career includes 9 years accounting, audit and consulting experience with Deloitte Touché, an international accounting firm; 10 years as Chief Financial Officer for two publically held manufacturing and technology businesses and 16 years consulting experience in the Technology, Food Manufacturing, Real Estate Development, and Hotel Industries. Mr. Gosnell began consulting for the Klimpel owned and managed hotels in 2002, assisting with accounting, finance and development activities for a number of hotel projects. Mr. Gosnell currently serves as LHG’s Chief Financial Officer, where his focus is on bottom line performance of each hotel property under management, as well as development activities for new hotel properties.

Roland Morgan

ROLAND MORGAN has 15 years experience as General Manager of a variety of hotels including Holiday Inn, Staybridge Suites, Candlewood Suites, Sheraton Hotel, and Super 8. His experience includes opening and stabilizing numerous new hotels and he has assisted in several turnaround situations involving underperforming hotel properties. While acting as General Manager of many hotels, he has consistently achieved superior performance relative to franchise standards and has won numerous franchisor recognition awards for the hotels he has opened / managed. Roland consistently creates an environment resulting in number one rankings by Franchisor and by local market competitive comparisons. Roland serves as Director of Operations for hotels under LHG's management.

 

Robb Shull

Robb Shull serves as the Regional Director of Sales and Marketing for hotels under LHG’s management.

Once upon a time heard over Lincoln’s radio waves…” Jumping back into another 40-minute music marathon with Rock n’ Roll Robb Shull.”  Even after dedicating over 30 years to hospitality Robb continues to bring a level of energy and passion that is infectious.  Robb entered the hotel industry over 17 years ago as the F&B Director at the state’s signature property, The Cornhusker Hotel.  In 2003, Robb was named General Manager – directing a $9.5 million hotel renovation and a rebranding to a full-service Marriott Hotel.  Since then Robb has expanded his hotel expertise to Sales & Marketing; from DOS at the Clearwater Beach Marriott Suites on Sand Key to a Regional Director of Sales overseeing multiple properties – he still claims to hold the title as #1 Busboy in NE.

Robb has been fortunate enough to have worked under the three major hotel brands (Marriott, Hilton, IHG) and has been recognized for his dedication to delivering outstanding guest service multiple times: In 2002 Robb was honored to be named to Nebraska’s “40 under 40” club, in 2003 Robb received Nebraska’s Lodger of the year award, in 2006 Robb was recognized as the “Spirit to Serve” award recipient -  Marriott’s most distinguished service recognition award and in 2009 Robb was humbled to receive the “Spirit of the Hilton Garden Inn” award – Hilton’s very highest service recognition achievement.

Kay Lynn Williamson

KAY LYNN WILLIAMSON has more than 15 years of accounting and finance experience in the Commercial Banking and Insurance industries. She serves as the accounting liaison between the Management Company and hotels under Lincoln Hotel Group management, and is instrumental in managing cost controls and cash payments for each hotel. Kay Lynn enjoys working with numbers and is always up for a new challenge.

Married with three children, Kay Lynn enjoys camping with her family, watching her children play sports and reading fiction.

Meredith Flury

Meredith Flury has 10 years of Office Management experience with in the construction field. More recently she has turned her focus to Human Resource Management. With a love of Excel spreadsheets, she enjoys tracking benefits and employee paperwork. 

Meredith enjoys the outdoors and can be found at near by lakes and rivers, fishing, camping, hiking, and Jeeping with her boys and husband. 

Steve Young

Steve Young has spent his career in the Hospitality Industry, with the last 10 years on the financial side of the Hotel Industry and a part of the LHG Financial Team since late 2015. Prior to that he spent his career in Management, Quality Control, and the Financial side of the Restaurants. Since 2000 he has been licensed and independently writes Mortgage Loans.

Steve enjoys traveling and spending time with family.
