Operations Manager, Staybridge Portfolio

As Operations Manager for the Staybridge Suites portfolio at Lincoln Hotel Group, Mark brings nearly two decades of hospitality leadership experience with a proven record of operational excellence, successful hotel openings, and award-winning performance. Mark began his hotel career in May 2007 as General Manager of a Holiday Inn Express. Since then, he has managed a diverse range of branded properties, including Fairfield Inn by Marriott and a Comfort Inn, and has led multiple new hotel openings. Throughout his career, Mark has consistently delivered strong financial results, high guest satisfaction scores, and maintained low staff turnover through effective leadership and team development. Properties under Mark’s leadership have earned industry recognition and awards, reflecting a commitment to excellence in both guest experience and hotel operations.

Mark continues to be an Adjunct Instructor at Western Iowa Tech Community College. He teaches courses ranging from Customer Service, Hospitality, and Pre-Employment Strategies. Mark holds an Associate of Arts in Business Administration from Western Iowa Tech, a Bachelor of Arts in Management with an emphasis in Business Administration from the University of Northern Iowa, and a Master of Business Administration from Wayne State College.

In addition to professional responsibilities, Mark is actively involved in industry and community organizations. He has served as a Board Member of Explore Siouxland since 2019 and has been a member of its Executive Board for the past five years. Mark also contributes to the hospitality industry through service with the IHG Suites Culture Council, having served on the Steering Committee in 2024 and currently serving on the Board of Directors since 2025.

In his spare time, Mark enjoys spending time camping with friends and family during the warmer months. During the colder months, Mark enjoys a great cruise to somewhere warm in the Caribbean. He also enjoys spending as much time as he can with his pooch, Mr. Biff McBifferton.
